'Taktyle' Braille signs are manufactured in Doncaster by Centurion Europe Ltd who hold the worldwide exclusive manufacturing licence for this patented product.

Our signs incorporate a unique moulded locator shape (patented) which guides the hand to the centre where the information can be found. Grade 1 English standard dots are used on our signs.

To our knowledge Centurion is the only company in the UK to completely manufacture heat moulded Braille signs from start to finish. Firstly our dies are manufactured in-house, the product is then screen-printed and heat-moulded. Finally, each sign is quality inspected before the application of the adhesive, packaging and labeling.

As our signs are under-surface printed and heat-moulded they are not subject to surface scratching as with photopolymer signs which are surface printed.

We control the total process of manufacturing and also manufacture in volume for stock. We know of no other Braille sign manufacturer who can supply a Braille sign at such a high quality and yet at such a low cost. Traditionally Braille signs have been sold at massive price premiums compared to regular signs. Centurion's low prices are changing that perception.

A sharp contrast to our competitors

Moulded signs also avoid the sharp edges and glued Braille dots that are an unsatisfactory element of engraved Braille signs.

Whilst we hold stock of thousands of signs and have hundreds of dies for special signs, we can manufacture extremely competitive bespoke signs to suit many sign systems and colours.

'Taktyle' Braille signs are available from all leading builders merchants, architectural ironmongers and sign companies.
